St Philip’s is a small Roman Catholic
preparatory school for boys with accommodation for just over 100 pupils. Although the large majority of pupils are
Roman Catholic, non-Catholics are welcomed when places become available and
they are expected to take a full and active part in the religious life of the
school.
History of St Philip's School:
The
school caters for a range of academic abilities and we hope to develop each
pupil’s potential as fully as possible by offering a broad and balanced
curriculum, combining a strong academic, moral and religious education with a
range of creative and sporting opportunities. We aim for every pupil to feel a
valued member of the school community and to have a sense of being personally
cared for by our teaching staff. Having experienced this, we hope that he is
inspired to respond to others in a similar fashion. Above all, St Philip’s is a
Christian community whose atmosphere should reflect just that. Prospective
parents are welcome to book an individual appointment with the Headmaster, who
will also take them round the school.
