Sylvia Young Theatre School:
Sylvia Young Theatre School is an independent fee-paying school in the Marylebone area of Westminster, London, England. It is a specialist stage school named after its founder and principal Sylvia Young.

History of Sylvia Young Theatre School:
The school was originally established in 1981 on Drury Lane, London but due to expansion it moved to Rossmore Road, Marylebone in 1983. The school moved its premises once again in 2010, with the school now being in Nutford Place, Westminster, in an imposing building that was converted for this purpose from an old church. Students either attend full-time with board, Saturday or evening classes or holiday school. Full-time fees for 2008-09 range from £2,100 a term (£6,300 a year) to £3,210 a term (£9,630 a year) depending on the child's age. Besides classes for children there are also classes for adults.
The school admits both boys and girls from the ages of 10 to 16. The school provides a clear focus on performing arts (drama, singing and dancing), but full-time students receive education and examination in all areas of the GCSE curriculum. Entry to the school is gained by audition, with an interview and written assessment.
