Pogo, which launched on 1 January 2004, is a cable and Satellite television channel created by Turner Broadcasting, is a unit of Time Warner for India which primarily shows animated programming and some live-action shows based in Mumbai, Maharashtra. Although initially only available in India, a timeshift version is now available in Nepal, Bhutan, Maldives and Sri Lanka. available in four languages (Hindi, English, Tamil and Telugu).
In Pakistan and Bangladesh Pogo is available as a two-hour block on Cartoon Network (Pakistan).
Pogo airs in multiple languages in India. All shows are also available in Hindi and English. Some shows are also available in Tamil. with another few shows being available in Telugu. The timeshift version which is available outside India is only available in English.
The channel carries a number of popular animated shows as well as live action shows. Turner produces exclusive shows for Pogo under the brand name "Pogo Originals" from time to time. A Pogo original production by Turner, the Music Art and Dance show "M.A.D.", is a do-it-yourself show. Pogo also showcases many popular animated and live action movies under the block name "Lights! Camera! Pogo". Chotta Bheem, a 2D animated series is also aired on Pogo.
While the channel was a sister service to Cartoon Network, there used to be the kids block on Pogo under the name of Tiny TV. In 2004, Tiny TV was a 17 hour block, however this kept shortening; now the block does not exist........Wikipedia >>
