STAR Vijay (commonly known as Vijay TV
or simply Vijay) is an Indian entertainment channel broadcasting in Tamil, also
available in several other nations. The channel is owned by Rupert Murdoch's
21st Century Fox through . After being founded by N. P. V. Ramaswamy Udayar in
1994 and later acquired by Vijay Mallya and UTV Software Communications, the
channel has been co-owned since 2001 by STAR TV and Fox International Channels,
which are subsidaries of 21st Century Fox, owned by Rupert Murdoch.

Vijay has produced numerous popular reality shows, including Jodi No. 1, Airtel
Super Singer, Neeya Naana, Adhu Idhu Edhu, Neengalum Vellalaam Oru Kodi and
Nadanthathu Enna. STAR Vijay went on to sponsor Yuvan Shankar Raja's first live
in concert in Chennai.
